I recently had the privilege of facilitating a government department’s 10yr planning process. We let go of the traditional idea of a two-day exec offsite that gets translated into actions (aka instructions) for others and instead opted for a more democratised approach. We’ve engaged broadly in the development of this critical piece of work, included 250 staff, partners and stakeholders and have already had some exceptional feedback. The approach has been cited as enhancing collaboration, trust, and engagement and we’re not even finished yet!
Always great to see examples of legacy organisations taking the lead in innovative work practices and it’s been an absolute pleasure supporting them in their journey so far.
