What a year it’s been!

I’ve wrapped up early this year, and feel a bit naughty sitting in the lounge and turning off the laptop…

But looking back over 2025, I can see why these bubbles feel well deserved!

2025 has been a challenging year for many of my clients, on a corporate level, a team level and a personal level, and I drop everything to lend them my strength, my ability to reframe and find a path, and most importantly, to remind them of my unrelenting belief in THEM.

It’s actually these more difficult years that fulfil me. And that’s because the incredible professionals who choose me to support them give me something that I will never take for granted. Their trust.

And it’s what keeps me energized enough to deliver:

  • 8 leadership development programs – where 100% of students reported growth against target
  • 7 team effectiveness programs – through team coaching, facilitating team mergers and arbitrating outright team warfare – we all reached higher ground, successfully.
  • 5 keynotes – and just getting started as a speaker. I’m so grateful for the incredible audiences and conversations this year, and can’t wait to bring even more focus (and fun!) to the stage in 2026.
  • 35 private coaching clients – emphasis on the private, no more said.
  • 1 new book – More impact, more easily – because we will all need more of that in 2026
  • 2 new superstars on board – welcome Ryan and Ainsley to Team Bold!

And on top of all this I’ve still managed to enjoy Victoria’s best ski season for a decade (ok, snowing on the first day of summer might be pushing things), warmed up for my first visit to MT (not my last!), and take a few dips in Port Philip bay.

No-one’s ever accused me of being the retiring type….

….but since I turned 50, people have started asking me ‘what are your plans for retirement’?

They clearly think I’m either too old or too rich to keep working – so I can’t tell if I’m flattered or offended when they ask!

But the question made me stop and think – what is my answer? What are my plans?

Should I have a better answer than – ‘this’? If I can work with people I love, doing work I love, which has an impact – can ‘this’ be my retirement plan?

Should the people, the work or the impact decline, then I suspect the plan will change, but until that happens…. my retirement plan is this.

Wishing you, your family, your teams and everyone around you a restful, safe and relaxing holiday season – and here’s to a fantastic 2026.
