Reflecting on 2024 & Looking Ahead to 2025

I won’t lie, I’m so looking forward to December I can almost taste it! I forgot to take a mid year holiday this year, and boy am I feeling it now. Imagine me forgetting that energy, as a leader, is the most important commodity you’ve got. I can literally hear 1000 middle managers growling in frustration at me right now – yes, I know, and I’m sorry for failing to heed my own advice!!! (doesn’t mean you should be a dummy and follow my lead though!)

What a whirlwind 2024 was – and will continue to be right up until 19 December for most – so I am going to keep this brief!

Before 2024 fades into the rearview mirror, it’s been another year worth of reflection (it’s a good exercise for you to do too if you don’t already!).

The big gamechangers for BoldHR in 2024 were:

  • Maturing our services across Impact Training, PlayNice Team Effectiveness & Org Change, Level Up Coaching and Inhouse Leadership programs.
  • We keep tweaking and improving these programs, in order to exceed our goals – this year hitting 90% satisfaction scores and 60% leader promotion rate.
  • Launching the B-Suite Benchmarks a first of its kind middle manager benchmark.

 

And I’m delighted to announce the appointment of our first full time employee, Jemima Moss, our new practice manager.

And 2025 is already shaping up to be huge:

  • BoldHR® will be growing! We are looking to hire expert leadership facilitators to boost our team, so if you know someone looking to augment their training/facilitation practice next year please let me know.
  • Evolving the B-Suite Benchmarks® through a series of executive round tables aimed at developing best practice resources for employers looking to get more from their middle managers.
  • Offering the BenchStrength needs analysis tool for organisations seeking to benchmark their own management group (powered by the Benchmarks).
  • Launching Middle Managers in the News, a weekly bulletin of research, tips and advice from all over the world curated to help employers get focused on how to improve your middle managers.
  • Publishing my second book to accompany our flagship program, Level Up and the 12 Systems of Impact.
  • Touring the conference speaker circuit to share the insights from the B-Suite Benchmarks, helping organisations – and their leaders – to truly unleash the potential of middle management.

 

Am I uncertain about what 2025 will bring? Hell yeah! But that uncertainty only tells me that I have to be 100% clear on goals, and 100% flexible on execution.
